May is all about helping at the Beats for Love dance festival

The organisers of the Beats for Love festival are celebrating the month of love with a variety of charitable events. DJs and organisers alike have got involved — from the festival director through the production team to the photographers.

May under the organisers’ charitable baton started at the Úsměv children’s home. Here the DJs showed the children their craft, let them try out their equipment first-hand, and finished with an afternoon disco for the children.

It continued at the Archa community centre, which provides afternoon activities for active seniors. In cooperation with Beats for Love, the programme featured a travel lecture about Barcelona, attended by almost twenty seniors. „Our seniors love travel lectures, so we jumped at the offer from the Beats for Love festival. And if there is ever an opportunity for the DJs to present something from their musical repertoire as well, I have no doubt they would get them dancing too. We look forward to another opportunity to work with this youthful project,” says Ladislava Skuplíková, programme coordinator of the Archa Community Centre.
