Grammy winner and the best dj on the planet David Guetta is coming to Ostrava’s Beats for love!
In less than 5 months, the 10th anniversary edition of the largest dance music festival in Central Europe will start and the organisers have announced the main star of the programme. The winner of two Grammy Awards, hitmaker and currently the best DJ on the planet David Guetta from France, who is famous for his house hits, will come to Beats for Love. Despite this announcement, the organizers promise that they are not done with star names and fans of electronic dance music still have something to look forward to.
“We have been interested in David Guetta for a long time and we are very happy that it worked out just for the anniversary year. Negotiations were really complicated and demanding. His performance also involves a lot of production work both now and at the festival, because the technical conditions match the level of his fame,” comments Kamil Rudolf, the festival’s director, on the success of Beats for Love.
David Guetta (56 years old) is a native of Paris, France, and has been on the electronic dance music scene for 40 years. He is therefore no “comet”, but rather a stable celebrity representing quality and timelessness. During this long time he has collaborated with such names as Fergie, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Sia, Akon, The Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Rowland and Snoop Dogg. His long-term success is confirmed not only by 2 Grammy Awards out of 13 nominations, an award in the American Music Awards or 4 first prizes in the global TOP 100 DJs poll, but also by many other international awards. His tracks ‘Titanium’, ‘I Gotta Feeling’, ‘One Love’, ‘I’m Good (Blue)’, ‘When Love Takes Over’ and ‘Revolver’ are worth mentioning. For these songs he won the mentioned Grammys and millions of fans all over the world know them.
Visitors from the Czech Republic and from abroad can look forward to a truly rich showcase of big names. In addition to the already mentioned David Guetta, the festival will feature a number of other DJs and groups with their live dance sets. For example, the British music duo Chase & Status will perform their well-awaited show on the Love Stage and will surely delight not only fans of their Drum and Bass megahit Baddadan, which won the ‘Track of the Year’ award in the Best of British awards and Drum & Bass Arena awards. On the same stage, liquid drum and bass lovers will also be pleased by the Hybrid Minds tandem from England, who are one of the most popular names in this style.
Originally from Ukraine, DJ Miss K8 will present her set on the Empire stage, which will host the subgenres of hardcore and hardstyle. This will be the second time that the queen of the hardcore genre will perform at Beats for Love. The same stage will also present the Dutch Dr. Peacock, who focuses mainly on the Frenchcore subgenre. The Turkish Len Faki and the Spanish Lewis Fautzi will please techno fans and will perform on the Techno Dome stage, and the organizers have announced new names on the popular Future stage. The legendary Giuseppe Ottaviani, the progressive duo Eli & Fur, the Dutch Julian Jordan and Danny Avila, who is dedicated to the subgenre called mainstage techno, will appear there.
It is not only the extraordinary environment and specific atmosphere of the Lower Vítkovice area that makes Beats for Love one of the most unique events of the festival season. “Our fans repeatedly confirm that Beats for Love presents their favourite four days of the year. I believe this is largely due to our polished music programme, which offers a wide range of performing artists and stars of the global electronic scene,” says festival director Kamil Rudolf.
The upcoming edition of the festival will also feature a number of smaller stages and zones, including a vibrant accompanying programme and the Talking Beats conference. For more information on the programme and to purchase tickets, please visit https://www.b4l.cz/cs/ and Ticketstream. “However, we recommend that you do not hesitate to purchase. For example, places at the festival campsites are disappearing at rocket speed and there are only a few last dozens of festival-wide VIP tickets left,” advises the festival’s marketing director Matyáš Ožana. The Beats for Love Festival will take place in Ostrava’s Dolní Vítkovice on 3-6 July 2024.
